as keynotes, break out/concurrent sessions or half/full day workshops.
Fishbone is on a mission to better prepare students for life after college. With a background in music and visual arts, students of all ages are captivated by and relate to Fishbone’s entertaining methods of delivering practical information. His enthusiasm for creative approaches and uncovering new forms is infectious. The separation between speaker and audience disappears as Fishbone’s energy spills off of the stage and fills the room.
Fishbone is a firm believer that everyone should take at least one class in basic business or Entrepreneurship. “No matter what you do for your job, you’ll be in business, relating to others who take that approach to work life”. If you are already studying business, Fishbone will show you ways to innovatively look at and solve problems, sometimes before they arise. If you are not taking business classes, you’ll be convinced that it is more than worthwhile, it is crucial to your success and survival.
Through pre-event discussions, Fishbone will customize his material to fit in with your current curriculum.
As a complement to Fishbone’s fun and informative Keynote Performance of Selling the Scream, he is available to do half and full day workshops that can include:
Knows his stuff: Fishbone has 35 years experience as a successful entrepreneur: starting, running and growing his own businesses, with an outlook that balances creativity with practicality. Most recently he wrote a book, Selling the Scream, in which he describes his saga of designing, manufacturing and distributing over 150 art-inspired gift items to museums and shops around the world. Robert Fishbone is a very inventive guy who, by being himself, has inspired college students and corporate employees to be less fearful of the entrepreneurial route. His message is part lecture, part performance and totally engaging. I have used him to convince MBA students that they can take Crazy Ideas and make them into successful opportunities.

As an assistant professor teaching entrepreneurship I’ve found Robert Fishbone to be an incredible tool for helping to spread entrepreneurship across the campus. Fishbone has found the right blend of art, business, and entertainment to reach students of all ages and from all majors. Based on his crazy idea of selling an inflatable Scream, Fishbone not only built a million dollar business, but now shares his rollercoaster ride as an artist-turned-entrepreneur. Fishbone tells it like it is – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Both traditional students and adult-learners will benefit from time spent with Fishbone.
